ADVICE PAGE – F.A.Q.’S Q: How can I keep my colour vibrant at home?? A: Colour Mooses Colour Mousse works very well for someone with a busy lifestyle, it’s very quick and easy, with great results. Your can get colour mousses for all kinds of hair colours from black, brown, red and blonde, its great for boosting and giving tone to lifeless colour. Mousses are usually used on full head colours i.e all over chocolate brown or black, not highlights, although I’ve used a golden blonde to give tone to highlights, and vibrancy to red steaks, this is very effective. Also if you’re looking to go darker for one night or two or to cover patches of grey this is the product for you. - How to use Usually you comb mousse through desired areas on damp pre-washed and conditioned hair, and blow-dry in, but always read instructions as some are applied differently. Wash in, wash out, semi permenant colour Semi’s are slightly more difficult and messy to use, although you have better coverage and vibrancy for longer, with incredible shine. Again these will have a variety of colours to choose from. - How to use Usually you apply to pre shampooed towel dried hair, then combed through and left for a specific time, then rinsed thoroughly, condition and style as usual. Please remember to read instructions!! Q: How can I get volume without all the hassle ofrnblow-drying techniques? A: Heated rollers Heated rollers give you excellent volume, with curls. They give you natural looking curls with volume that lasts. - How to use These are fairly easy to use, blast hair off or blow-dry hair smooth and straight depending on your hair type. The easiest way is to Section your hair as you go along (small rectangle sections) comb section 90 degrees from your head, and wrap tip of hair round the roller and continue to root and hold in place. After all hair is done leave for as long as you feel, remember the longer they are left in the more curl. Velcro rollers Velcro rollers are similar to heated rollers but less hassle to get in, and you don’t get curls, maybe a slight wave. But you get great volume and great shape. - How to use So same directions as heated rollers, blow-dry hair, section, and leave in. You might not need clips to hold rollers in place, the Velcro will do that for you. TIP – PUT ROLLERS IN THE DIRECTION YOU WANT HAIR TO FLOW I.E. if you like your hair back off your face, angle rollers back, this makes such a difference.
Q: - I always struggle to put my hair extensions in, can you tell me an easy step by step??
A: Depnding on the look you want -CURLY - firstly Curl your extensions before you put them into your hair, hair spray and put aside. Take a rough horseshoe section from temple to temple and back comb root slightly, this will help the extensions to stay in longer. Clip in extension clips one by one. Then take a second horseshoe and repeat technique, repeat again until you have them all in. Then style to perfection!!
STRAIGHT - Use the same technique but straighten the extensions first and after for lovely smooth and straight hair!!
